Vaanya Diva is a South London–born singer, songwriter, and producer whose career has been shaped by independence, evolution, and creative control. Her musical journey began in the early 2000s, driven by a deep love for lyricism and collaboration with local producers.
Her first major breakthrough came in 2003 with “Bad Day,” an acid house release with the band Fourth Island, which opened the door to a wave of opportunities and established Vaanya as a compelling songwriter and vocalist in the electronic music scene. Demand for her voice and writing quickly followed.
In 2004, Vaanya joined Feelgood Productions, a leading Italian collective at the forefront of the Asian Underground movement. During this period, she performed to massive audiences across Europe, including a standout appearance at the Turin Winter Olympics, sharing the stage with Duran Duran. It was here that she connected with acclaimed DJ and producer Get Far, leading to the creation of the global dance anthem “Free,” released in 2010.
While collaborating with DJs and producers worldwide, Vaanya recognised the need for full creative ownership. Determined to shape her sound from start to finish, she spent years teaching herself music production. The work she is now releasing represents the realisation of that vision — music that is entirely her own, from the first lyric to the final master.
Looking ahead, Vaanya is focused on creating music that resonates deeply, blending emotion, storytelling, and sonic exploration. With a strong desire to perform live, she aims to connect with audiences through honesty, vulnerability, and powerful shared experiences.
Unfazed by skepticism about stepping into production later in her career, Vaanya chose conviction over limitation. She believes no one else gets to define your potential — the only boundaries that exist are the ones you accept.
